In these modern times, we have adapted weddings to be a true reflection of who we are, both as individuals and as couples. Finding a dress is one of the most exciting and personal parts of the wedding planning process… but it can also be overwhelming! Your wedding gown is probably the most important, the most sentimental, and the most expensive garment you will ever wear. It is an honor and a privilege for us to help walk and guide you through your wedding gown process, from your initial appointment and choosing your dress all the way through your final round of alterations. It is our hope and truly our mission that you feel heard and respected by us with each interaction during your entire Wildflower experience.

But, first things first: let’s talk about the gowns and the selection!! Nowhere else in Asheville, in the Southeast, heck even in the country, will you find such a thoughtfully curated selection of chic, original gowns, mostly BELOW $2500. Sure, you can go to ATL or NYC or LA and find some amazingly beautiful gowns from couture designers, and they’ll have the price tags to match. Heck, you can go to Charlotte and find one of our gowns at a bridal shop there and maybe another gown we carry at a shop in Raleigh- but you’re not going to find another one-stop shop like us anywhere else that has ALL THE STYLES you’ve been eyeing, hanging right next to each other, all under one stylish, comfortable roof. And sure, you can go online and find some fun gowns at great prices, but there is so much value in being able to see the gowns in person, in being able to feel the fabrics, in being able to try on gowns back to back and contrast and compare to help you figure out what you’re liking and what you’re drawn to, in being able to grab a veil here and a belt there to see if you like the whole ensemble- and you don’t have the option of having that holistic, well-rounded gown shopping experience if you’re buying something online.

Now, we’re about to toot our own horns here for a sec, because a) it’s true, and b) we feel it’s healthy to be able to point out and articulate one’s strengths to others every now and then when appropriate- something you get ONLY AT WILDFLOWER is US - our skills, our knowledge, our ideas, our creativity, our sense of fashion, our respect for you and your process, our gentle, guiding support. We understand and respect the process of choosing your gown. It’s a big decision, one many of us have been thinking about for years, sometimes decades. There’s a lot wrapped up in it. It can be difficult to choose just ONE gown to represent everything you’ve ever wanted it to represent, everything you’ve ever wanted to it to say, everything you’ve ever wanted it and yourself to feel on your wedding day. This is truly where we come in. We’ve already done a lot of the work by fine-tuning our gown selection. Your gown is already here! Isn’t that comforting??! Your gown is here, waiting for you!! Waiting for you to find it!! Our work comes in getting to know you (and your loved ones), observing your body language and how you react to each gown you try on (and pointing it out to you), asking you thoughtful questions to help you narrow down your selection, showing you how we can alter something to get it from 90% there to a home run, being real with you about what can and can’t be done to each gown during alterations (which involves actually knowing that info, which honestly not everyone knows- another reason to work with a shop that offers in-house alterations), thinking outside the box to tweak something to get it just right for you, accessorizing your look with the perfect finishing touches, showing you styles you may not like on the hanger but you may love once you try them on, overseeing your alterations appointments and being your voice when you’re not sure how to articulate something…

It really is a rather intimate process that involves a lot of trust- and we are here, standing by your side, advocating for you every step of the way.
